The Smart Alarm 2.0
I am very excited to actually start getting some work done on version 2.0 of the Smart Alarm, the app that started it all for me. Nik is out of school for the summer and we’re hoping to get the app ready for OS 4 (allowing it to run in the background), a little UI refresh, and some other enhancements yet to be disclosed.
You can also show your support, or appreciation, of the app by sporting this as your iPad/iPhone Lock-out Screen: Download on Flickr.

Thanks everyone for your continued support.
FOX 6 TV Interview
Talk about an interesting day. FOX 6 calls and introduces themselves at 3PM and are coming over at 5PM. The news reporter Chrystina Head (pictured above) turns out really has a hyphenated last name and is also a Massie! Sis? So The Smart Alarm got some air time on local Milwaukee Sunday news just in time for a winter storm coming in. Don’t say my app didn’t tell you so. Thanks everyone who helped encourage and support this!

Demo Video Shooting
You think that you’d be better at just explaining an App that you have been working on for over a year. But when it gets down to it…. stutter, trip, what the hell is a “Demostrination”? Who knows, but it’s new - use it! ;) After trying to shoot this video on this table, the kitchen table, I found a great App called SkinnyFinger that allow me to just record video off the Mac and an iPhone simulator. That still didn’t help the fumbling thru the voice over. Oh Well.
After a few attempts I stumbled upon what ended up rendering the above solution obsolete: Thanks to SlimFinger from

The Smart Alarm - Submitted
It’s 6 hours later from when we started and after the 10th attempt and syncing certificates, identities, profiles, etc…. the app has been uploaded for Apple App Store approval
Product shots for the Smart Alarm
As programming continues I was able to get a head start on making some product shots of the app. I figure these can all be added to the iTunes store when our page is ready to be built. The anticipation is killing me.
