Hacking little robots and electronics are making a comeback, and for that reason I wish struggling RadioShack would go back to its roots of being a part store. From making a plant that tweets when it needs water, a door that opens on a foursquare check-in to an iPhone Charging Mint Tin, people are bustin’ out the soldering iron more than the last few years. ”The Shack” has lost their identity and could easily fill a trending niche market. Yeah, they still got solder and some wires, but you could almost build a radio from their part selection back in the day.
I love what people are doing with a mini web server and some wires, so someone need to help speed up the rise of the machines!
